ALL Connect
Project Update
Evaluation of Year 1
Initial feedback has suggested that teachers have both enjoyed and benefited professionally from attending the ALL Connect training sessions. In order to develop and advance our understanding of the techniques and approaches for successful language teaching as well as what constitutes a successful model for CPD, we would like to evaluate the impact of Year 1 of the ALL Connect Project.
Therefore, we would be grateful if you could complete the short questionnaire below:
If you have benefited from the ALL Connect sessions, why not benefit further from the support available below?
Year 1:
Training sessions have now taken place in all three regions, in around 30 local centres – that’s up to 300 twilight sessions, benefitting around 4,000 teachers across the country!
ALL Connect has also developed training modules for language teachers on major curriculum themes which is now available via the the ALL Connect Blog:
Year 2:
ALL Connect face-to-face training is continuing – and has expanded into new areas: the southern part of the North East region, the Midlands region - Northamptonshire (KS2&3) and Leicestershire (KS3), and Yorkshire (KS3) – so entirely new groups of teachers are benefitting from the training. ALL Connect training courses are listed on our website.
ALL Connect is now developing two new training resources which will be available via the ALL Connect Blog from Spring 2016. These will be showcased at Language World 2016:
- A KS2 Transition Toolkit, with an associated training module; and
- A KS2 Coordinator’s Handbook, with an associated training module.
The ALL Connect team is also busy creating new interactive wikis, connected to the ALL Connect Blog, allowing teachers to upload examples of their own resources for each module, and providing further support materials for colleagues in KS2 and KS3 (with two further wikis - the ALL Writing & Translation Wiki & ALL Progression & Transition Wiki) launching soon!
ALL Speaking Wiki
ALL Literature Wiki
ALL Grammar Wiki
The ALL Connect wikis are also intended as a standalone resources for any teacher to use, so have a look and please contribute!
Language World 2016
The title of Language World 2016 is Curriculum Innovation, and the conference will feature sessions showcasing two new features of the ALL Connect programme, the KS2/3 Transition Toolkit and KS2 Coordinator’s Handbook.
