Dear Alex and Peyton...
- Picking good friends isn't as hard as it sounds. Try being friends with someone that you have things in common with. Also, try being friends with someone you see a lot, whether its at school or outside of school. If you're friends with someone you don't see a lot, you could end up drifting apart. In my experience, I used to hate my best friend. But, something as silly as liking a guy made us friends because we had something in common for once. We are still best friends to this day.
I would like advice on... how to get along with teachers you don't like?
- So i know that getting along with teachers that you don't like is a hard thing for kids our age. But as long as you respect the teacher and be humble then all will be well. But if you are showing disrespect the teacher will probably not trust you, move you around in an assigned seat, and even write you up for little things all because you were talking back rudely. So whenever a teacher is starting to get you upset just count to ten in your head and respond with a quick yes ma'am or yes sir. Then you can continue working on whatever is was that you were doing.
I would like advice on... how to talk to people with emotional instability without them going off on you even thought you're already are trying to be nice?
- If you are having trouble talking to a person with emotional instability don’t trigger them. If they are starting to look a little upset or angry by what you are saying then just drop the convo. Start off by saying, “look i'm sorry for saying that. But anyway why don’t we just change the subject and leave it be?” That would show them that you were sorry if you insulted them, EVEN if you didn’t it would be best just to apologize so they won't take whatever you said to offence. It’s okay if you want to be friends with someone with emotional instability, just watch what you are saying to them. You might say something that they get mad at and it doesn't make any sense on why they got upset. That's why the best thing to do is apologize then if they want let them cool off and walk away for about 15-20 minutes. Then come back and ask if they are okay.
I would like advice on... being more honest?
- Try not to have secrets and don't lie. There's really no reason for lying, but there are people who choose to lie instead of being honest. One small lie can easily turn into an even bigger lie. If you are in a situation where you could possibly end up in trouble or hurting someone's feelings, just be honest. Not only is lying and keeping secrets bad, but it also puts pressure on you to keep that big secret. Eventually, someone will find out that you lied or you kept a secret so why do it in the first place?

Literature:
A big dog saw a puppy chasing its tail and asked:
– Why are you chasing your tail that way?
– I have studied philosophy and solved the problem of the universe, which no other dog before me had ever solved, – the puppy answered, – and I have found out that the best thing for a dog in life – is happiness, and that my happiness is in my tail. That is why I am chasing it, and when I catch it – I will reach happiness.
– Son, – the dog said, – in my young days I was also interested in the questions of the universe. I also thought that the happiness is in the tail and in the beginning I was also chasing it. But later I have noticed that anywhere I go and whatever I do, the tail was following behind me. And then I understood that I don’t need to chase it.
