Good afternoon Eagles!
Our school-wide door decorating contest is in full swing! You will notice several pictures of creative students who were involved in the door design and decorating, along with talented staff members in this week's video. It is neat to see all of the themes and ideas. This week we begin decorating our halls with "lights of kindness" where students have the opportunity to recognize others for random acts of kindness. We hope to have all of our hallways strung with lights of kindness prior to December 17.
Thank you to all of the parents who attended the Parent Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, November 27. Information shared and discussed is listed below:

Reading and math enrichment activities during intercessions with incentives
Reading - how can you help at home? Listen to your child read nightly increasing the number of minutes over time to build stamina; Read to your child regularly; Ask your child questions about what he or she read.
Math - how can you help at home? Practice math facts to help students become fluent in math facts and increase math success.
K - number recognition, counting, addition
1-2 - addition and subtraction
3 - addition, subtraction, multiplication

You will notice in the draft that December 17 and January 4 are now student days. In the original calendar, these were teacher workdays. Please make a note that students are expected to attend these days in the new proposal. If there are any changes to this proposed calendar, we will keep you updated.

Positive Behavior Expectations
We review our behavior expectations with students regularly so they can show school pride at CEES and earn Class DoJo points. Students must earn 100 Class DoJo points during the month to participate in the schoolwide PBIS celebrations. Please review our CEES acronym with students at home to help support our program:
