ILEARN

Greetings Giants,

Between the dates of April 23 and May 10, all students in grades 3-8 will be taking ILEARN. This is the new state assessment replacing ISTEP+. Please check with your child’s homeroom teacher for more information regarding specific days and times your child will be testing. It is extremely important for all students to be at school and on time each day during ILEARN testing. Below are some tips to help ensure your child is prepared to test their best:

1. Rest Up- Limit electronics and get to bed early!

2. Fuel Up- Eat a good, healthy breakfast each day!

3. Talk It Up- Encourage your child, and remind them to do their best!

The Indiana Department of Education has developed several three-minute videos for parents and educators about assessment systems and transitions to support assessment literacy. These videos are below if you are interested in learning more.

We are looking forward to beginning ILEARN and welcome any questions you may have. Please reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office should you need any further information. Have a great weekend!
