PRODUCTS MADE

CONDITIONS

Conditions in the factories are horrible. Gap uses physical punishment, verbal abuse, improper use of child labor. there is poor ventilation, inadequate safety equipment, and insufficient access to drinking water inside the factories.

SWEATSHOP WORKERS

Most workers are under the age of 14, being paid below minimum wage, and have to work 7 day weeks to keep a job.

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION AFFECT

Gap figured out that they can use many workers inside factories and can pay workers less.

SOLUTIONS TO SWEATSHOPS

You can pass factory acts that make all factories treat works fairly and pay at least minimum wage. Make sure all factories are in working condition.

WHAT DID I LEARN

Most of the big/small name brands and corporations uses sweatshops to make their products. Gap uses harsh treatment to its sweatshop workers.

AM I CONCERNED

Im concerned with the treatment of the works and their lives, but the products have to be made somehow.
