Upcoming Events
IMA chaperones and volunteers needed
The IMA relies on the participation of its members to chaperone student events and to support and organize fundraising events. All IMA members with ACT 153 clearances on file with the Easton Area School District are eligible to participate as a chaperone or volunteer.
Please visit https://eahsmusic.org/general/act153/ for more information on how you can volunteer!
March Forth: A Month of Giving to the EAHS Band and Orchestra
WHAT IS IT?
March 04 is known as “National Marching Arts Day.” To tie into this day, we are opening the March Forth fundraiser for one month with a goal of $10,000 in unrestricted funds. It is a large sum of money, but if 500 people donated $20, we would reach our goal! All donations are tax deductible.
It costs approximately $80,000 to maintain the programs the IMA supports on an annual basis. Through the donations of many over the past three years, some of what we have been able to provide includes:
- Maintaining instruments & uniforms
- Student leadership seminars (Drum Major Academy, etc.)
- Provide six $1,000 scholarships on an annual basis to graduating seniors
- Bring in guest clinicians/ private lessons
- Purchase new instruments & cases
- Offset costs of travel within the instrumental music program
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
There are THREE ways to make a donation:
- The IMA website (www.eahsmusic.org) – donate & pay all online!
- Paper form (check/ cash) – attached to this email
- Facebook @ Easton Area High School Instrumental Music Association
50% of any contributions received for the March Forth campaign that are affiliated with a marching band student can go towards their trip contributions. Unfortunately, we are not able to have any Facebook contributions count towards student contribution goals.
Please consider donating today: https://eahsmusic.org/general/march-forth-2022/

Taylor Kohl - Class of 2011
It is with a sad heart that I write to inform you of the passing of a former EAHS band member. Taylor Kohl (class of 2011) passed away earlier in January. Taylor was a member of our color guard and her cousin, Jonathan, was a member of the drum line (class of 2008). Taylor's passing was unexpected and she leaves behind a young child.
While you may not know of Taylor personally, we have a sign at the front of our rehearsal room that says: "rover tradition is the hard work & dedication of those that stood here before you." Taylor was a part of those who came before us currently in the program to help build what we have today.
Due to the unexpected nature of her passing, her family has set up a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her burial & memorial service. As a program, I wanted to pass along this news if any would feel inclined to make a donation to help support Taylor's family during this time. The marching band had a large impact on Taylor and hopefully it is a way that we can also give back.
