Colts Pride in Action
This week, we want to highlight Edie Kernodle for her innovative literacy stations. Operating effective, targeted, and organized literacy stations in 1st grade is quite a feat in of itself. However, try having more six different options for literacy stations and personalizing each pair of students center each day. I am tired, just typing it. These stations are purposeful, aligned to her whole group objective, and differentiated. Way to go!
PBIS tip of the week
"Stay positive, things aren't going to get better by being negative about."
Becky Bailey, author of Conscious Discipline, says that "Discipline is not something you do to children, it is something you develop within them." Reflect on this quote and consider how you will continue to help students develop appropriate behaviors at school. How can you continue to use Morning Meeting time to reinforce our Colt Code. How can this quote help you respond to students who misbehave?
