Note from the Principal

Can you believe it is December already! As we begin our Christmas celebration preparations let us remind ourselves to keep our focus on the “reason for the season”.

“The angels sang because the everlasting Father had come to extend arms of redeeming grace to all who would give their hearts to Him”. Paul David Tripp

Are you ready to sing like the angels because hope is coming?

Elementary Chapel

Pastor Daniel Acton, son of Mrs. Acton and CCS Alumni, talked about what it means to make wise choices. Wisdom is finding out what you should do... AND DOING IT! We find God's wisdom by reading the Bible. If you want to be wise...THINK before you speak. Proverbs 12:18 says, "Thoughtless words cut like a sword, but the tongue of wise people brings healing."

Junior & Senior High Chapel

Pastor Vanderbur from Waynesburg Christian Church talked to the students about fear - we all fear something. The prophet Elijah, found in 1 Kings, teaches us that even he faced fear. Opposition will come and blind-side you when you least expect it. Do not isolate yourself from others and do not indulge in self pity. This is when satan will find you weak. Rather, stand with other believers to stay strong. God placed each one of the students at: CCS, in their churches and families to follow after Jesus. When we are all chasing after Jesus together, we are unbreakable.

CCS Families,

It has come to our attention that there are a few things going on during our sporting events that are not only distracting from the games, but could also be safety issues.

The Athletic Department is therefore asking that all students and adults refrain from shooting baskets before, during halftime and after games . The only people who should be on the playing court should be the team players, coaches and referee staff. The only exceptions will be cheerleaders, special presentations or CCS sponsored activities during an event.

All students and players need to sit in the student section of the bleachers and refrain from sitting on the stage. There should be no one on the stage except those who are working the scorekeeper’s bench.

Parents/Guardians please keep your children seated in the stands. They should not be in the hallways playing, on the edge of the court under the goals, on the stage or playing under the bleachers. These all create safety concerns.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in these matters. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Donnell.

New Scoreboard Just Fit...

A big thank you to everyone involved with getting the new scoreboard from the delivery truck to the gym walls.

There will be NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE on Wednesday, December 20.

Have you met our exchange student Xu from China?

Xu is a junior here at CCS and is on the basketball team. A new host family is needed for him because his current host family is moving. A host would provide a room with a bed, place to study, three meals a day (he usually eats at school and pays for himself there) and the love and encouragement all teenagers need. He speaks English and has his own spending money and health insurance. Will you prayerfully consider hosting him? Please contact Debbie Gray for more information: 812-764-4433
