Cherrelyn Elementary School
August 31, 2018
Thank you for another wonderful week. Students and staff are well into regular routines and everyone has adjusted to our new building. Students are engaging in differentiated learning and diving into all content areas.
Please help me to welcome our newest staff members:
Mrs. Mila Mitchell is our new Culturally Linguistically Diverse Educator (CLDE). Mrs. Mitchell comes to us from Adams 14 where she taught for several years in Kindergarten and 2nd grade classrooms.
Ms. Lisa Escude is our 1/2 long term substitute teacher. She writes:
"I am thrilled to be here. I have taught all over the world, including Germany. I recently moved back to Colorado from Texas after retiring from a long teaching career. I enjoy spending time with my daughter, Haley, who is 24 and my very, big dog named Gus! I have 4 sisters and a large extended family who I just adore being close to again. I love the Denver Broncos!"
I hope everyone enjoys the weekend. We can't wait to see you again on Tuesday!
Thank you,
Mrs. Orsund

Mobile Dental Services
Englewood School District has partnered with a comprehensive care mobile dental office, No Smile Left Behind, to provide complete general dental services to the students during school hours. You do not have to schedule an appointment. You do not have to be present. You do not have to take time off work.
Treatment is provided at no cost with Medicaid and private insurance. All qualifying private insurance co-payments will be waived. For those who are not eligible for insurance and need assistance paying for treatment, the cash fees will be discounted down about 60% to the Medicaid rates. A dentist, two assistants, and a hygienist will be on board the mobile clinic to provide quality dental service.
Procedures provided include exams, fillings, X-rays, cleanings, preventive fluoride, sealants, pulp therapy, extractions, emergency treatment, infection treatment, and more.
To register your child to receive these services, please do one of the following:
1. Go to www.nosmileleftbehind.com/register and register your child electronically using our patient portal.
2. Fill out the paper form attached to this email and return it with your child to his/her school.
Thank you!
CHAMPIONS
Champions is hosting a Fall Open House at Cherrelyn, where all Cherrelyn families will have the opportunity to visit our program and experience what afterschool at Champions is all about Our program will be open to all families on September 18 from 5:00-6:30PM.
This is a chance for us to positively impact more of your students by introducing even more families to our programs and showing them how we help build skills and confidence in young lives.
We look forward to meeting all of the Cherrelyn Families and hope to see lots of new faces in there to see what we have to offer.
Thank you!
