Superintendent Briefing
August 2020
A Note from Dr. Hanson, Superintendent
Hello NPPS Families,
It is almost time for us to be back in session, and I, for one, am ready to see our students! As you prepare to send your student back to NPPS, we would like for you to know our staff, administrators, directors, the board of education, and I are as prepared as we can be to welcome them back.
We have made multiple changes to our processes, classrooms, and procedures to help protect our students and staff and keep our buildings open. Here are a few tips you can do to help with these efforts:
- Work with students to properly wash their hands.
- Practice wearing face coverings.
- Practice social distancing.
- Talk about changes.
- Keep students home if they are sick.
- Establish alternate plans for your family that include; transportation, child care, & the possibility of remote learning.
- Be flexible ~ Things can and will change as we move through this school year in a global pandemic.
Due to this ever-changing information, we invite you to visit our COVID-19 Resources page under the students & parents tab of our website at nppsd.org.
On our website, you will find; Our Plan, Playbooks, and Resources about COVID-19 and how we plan to move forward.
We look forward to welcoming students back to schools on August 17th & 18th.
August 17th - PK-9
August 18th - 10-12
Best Regards,
Dr. Ron Hanson, Superintendent
