Second Grade Readers

A second grader is tracking Mr. Estep’s fluency using a Logitech pen while at the same time air-dropping his work (visible in the background) via an iPad to show how he monitors Mr. Estep’s rate and accuracy. Second graders are learning ways to raise each other’s fluency by focusing on rate, accuracy, and expression.

Mrs. Whiton's 4th Grade Class

4th graders in Mrs. Whiton's class celebrate finished writing projects with a "Publishing Party". Kids show their best work and dress up to honor, in a special way, each other's hard work. Kids also read all the works and give positive feedback to one another. Great motivation for more good writing...

Mrs. Wilde's First Grade Class

On Monday, February 11th First Grade had an amazing time celebrating the 100th Day of School. The children did many team building activities in which they had to work together to build a tower of 100 cups and create designs with 100 pattern blocks. They also played a dice roll game in which they had to record tallies to see which number on the die came up the most. The children also worked together to come up with 100 words, places they have visited, and friends. We had a little fun using an app that changed their appearance to how they would look when they are 100 years old. They ended with a delicious 100th snack that the children were able to enjoy at home.

Mrs. Fillette's First Grade Class

Students in Mrs. Fillette’s class celebrated the 100th day of school with lots of fun challenges: 100 word hunt, tower building with 100 cups, addition practice with Race to 100, 100 exercises, and writing about what it will be like when they are 100 years old! Hip Hip Hooray, it’s the 100th
