What's Happening in the Classrooms!
Ms. Steward's TK Class
They continued their tradition on making turkey hats this week. Don't they look soo cute!
Mrs. Johnsons 1st Grade Class
They help an election for Class President and Vice-President. This happened during the same time as our national elections. Each student that wanted to become a candidate needed to submit a little google document presentation stating something about themselves and why they would like to become President or Vice-President. The candidates needed to talk about what they liked about the class and what they would change. In addition, they needed to add pictures, writings, songs, etc. to encourage their classmates to vote for them.
Mrs. Reese's 2nd Grade Class
The week prior to break Mrs. Reese's class decided to plan Thanksgiving dinner. These second graders took on a large task of looking at all of their favorite foods during a project to help them with not only their double digit addition, which they are currently working on, but their writing too. They choose the main dish, sides, drinks, desserts, and even who would be on their guest list. Student had a budget of $80 which they needed to stay under. This was a hard because everything looked so good. In the end, Students needed to design invitations to invite their guest to the dinner and tell them why this will be the best Thanksgiving Dinner.

You Can Do Anything
Recently Pilot Victor Glover became the 1st black astronaut to begin a full six months stint on a orbiting lab. This mission started on Sunday, November 15th, at 7:27 P.M. Glover was above NASA's SpaceX Crew-1 with his team. Why is this so special to Midland you might ask. Great question! Our very own Ms. Steward (TK) was excited to learn this very news. She attended school with Glover's mother, Jeanette Steward Glover. They have known each other since elementary school. They continued though middle and high school together in Pomona, California. So if you put your mind to it you can do anything!
You Matter!
Each and every one of you matter. Please listen to this Eagle Scout who has continued to volunteer his time with children. He makes several great points that is great for our youth and adults to take into consideration.
