CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) & ILLNESS UPDATES
With the 24-hour news coverage of Coronavirus (COVID-19) bringing forward new information about the spread of the illness, we felt it was important to provide resources and answers to some “frequently asked questions” we are receiving as a District. We have created this webpage with clickable questions where you can learn more about what is currently known about the virus, how it spreads, prevention strategies, and what actions FPS is taking to limit the spread of illnesses. As information about the virus is continuously evolving, we will update this webpage with any new information and communicate out if there are any updates in our Friday building bulletin newsletters.
The recommendations previously communicated regarding exercising caution and/or avoiding international travel to identified locations are still relevant. Please watch guidelines from the CDC regarding travel.
If you have any specific questions or concerns, please contact one of our District nurses - Molly Kaul (grades 6-12, 414-525-7622) or Lori O’Neil (grades 4K-5, 414-525-7624).

TEACHER REQUESTS
As we look at the calendar we are reminded that the last few months of the school year are fast approaching as well. We all know these months will go by quickly and we would like to make you aware of some important information regarding your child’s placement for next year.
As you begin to think about next year, please keep the following information in mind. Several factors are used to develop class lists including: learning styles, academic and social skills, talents, groupings, balances, special needs, and class sizes. All specialists and teachers including music, physical education, art, speech, special education, reading and ESL have an opportunity for input into class lists. We also include the recommendations of the school social worker and the school psychologist as well.
As you can see, much effort is put into this important process and the decision about class makeup. Please do not ask teachers or me for a particular placement or special consideration for your child. Be assured our teachers have the “big picture” and will make the best classroom choices for all our students. Also, keep in mind that each child and grade level class as a whole is different from year to year. Please understand that younger siblings may not have the same teacher as their older siblings have had.
Thank you for your cooperation as we make these complex decisions.
