DFES Academic Goals 2014 -2015

Goals:

  1. Increase student math achievement.
  2. Sustain and build upon student writing achievement.


We are seeking to accomplish these two goals by:

  • inquiring into writing engaging curriculum for and with students through environmental education (units of study)
  • inquiring into instructional strategies

Veteran's Day -November 11, 2014

We are grateful for the service of all military personnel. Please refer to the email sent by S. Somerall regarding how DFES will honor our military veterans.

Advanc-ED work Tuesday, November 11

Certified staff will meet in the cafeteria at 3:15. We will spend our time working in small groups to complete the standard 4 self-assessment.

4th Grade Music Performance

Tuesday, Nov. 11th, 5:45-8pm

DFES mini theatre

Looking forward to the performance by our fourth graders. Not only will their musical talents be on display...but their artistic talents as well. C. Catoe and M. Rushe spent the last two weeks of the first marking period allowing students to create products that will serve as props during this performance.
