Summer Update
July 16, 2019
Summer Cheer
I hope the sunshine finds everyone in good health surrounded by friends and family. Summer is a time for reflection, reconnection, and rejuvenation. I hope you have this and more.
I will be away from my computer for the next week so call my cell phone with anything urgent and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Welcome Ms. Aimee Pfenning to 4th Grade
Please join me in welcoming Ms. Aimee Pfenning to our 4th grade team. Aimee has taught K-5th grade and worked as an instructional math coach in Reynolds. As an Oregon City resident she is excited to work in the community she lives. She loves teaching and is looking forward to being apart of John McLoughlin.
Special Thank You to the Interview Team! Thank you Sarah, Dianne, Jared, and Julie for volunteering your time to help us find the very best!
5th Grade Position Posting
Congratulations Tony Rolen! He accepted a position as the Head Wrestling Coach and teaching middle school in Hood River. We were looking forward to working with you, but wish you the best in your new adventures. This leaves us hiring. The position should post in the next few days. It will be posted for at least 10 days. We expect to interview the beginning of August.
How can you help?
1. Tell your friends!
2. Share interview questions with Candice via email.
3. Volunteer to be on the interview committee.
Kindergarten Goes to Training
Thank you to the kindergarten team and Maura for attending the Handwriting Without Tears training last week. The team reports that the training was fantastic. They left with great ideas, information, and are excited to begin implementing this new learning with our kindergarteners next year. Thank you Maura, Lindsey, Gabby, Gabe, and Lindsay!
