Penny Wars Results are in!
All of the coins have been counted and the final numbers are in:
The winning class of our first ever Penny Wars is:
Mrs. Dain’s 4th grade class!
Mrs. Dain’s class finished with over 140 Points and earned a pizza party for their amazing contributions! But we didn’t stop there! Mr. Babbit’s 4th grade class and Mrs. Lewis’s 2nd grade class will be competing in a “snowball fight” for coming in 2nd and 3rd place. Students will have some fun in the gym with fake snowballs purchased by our PTO.
However, the most amazing result from our red ribbon week fundraiser is that we were able to purchase 62 blankets for our student council’s give-back project! Our Legendary Leaders will be completing this service project over the next couple of weeks and donating 62 blankets to My Very Own Blanket in Westerville. My Very Own Blanket is dedicated to warming the heart of every child in the foster care system by providing foster and children in need with a blanket, to give them a feeling of comfort, security and most of all, a smile.
In addition to the blankets our Legendary Leaders will be making, each homeroom class will also make a blanket during their December classroom guidance lesson with Mrs. Arnold. If you are interested in learning more about My Very Own Blanket, please visit their website at: www.myveryownblanket.org.Toy Drive
