Hello Fronteras Families!

Congratulations and welcome to our newly elected and re-elected APC Board members: Parent Kirsten Mason, Parent Jason Prestien, Staff Alexis Brown, and Staff Amanda Strickler! I look forward to working with you and our entire Board to continually improve our immersion program and keep Fronteras on a forward path!

Fronteras school spirit days have been finalized!

· Monday, Nov. 22nd is Dress as your Favorite Sport/Team

· Tuesday, Nov. 23rd is Tie-Dye

· Wednesday, Nov. 24th is Dress in Autumn Colors!

In addition to being a spirit day, Wednesday, November 24th is our school-wide Pie Buffet. This is a time for students and staff to come together and enjoy a slice or two together before heading off to Thanksgiving break!

Fronteras staff spent November 11th renewing our CPR/1st Aid certification, as well as worked on aligning Spanish Language Arts and Math standards to better meet grade level instructional needs. Miss Kami created a collage of photos for your viewing pleasure.

THANK YOU to parent and APC board member, Jason Prestien, for assisting with our morning drop-off! We are way more efficient with keeping traffic moving smoothly, and students crossing safely! Thank you as well, to all our drivers for being patient and courteous!

Your trash is our treasure! The Fronteras art room is in need of 80 toilet paper/ paper towel/ wrapping paper tubes, CLEAN plastic containers with or without lids: yogurt cups, sour cream and cottage cheese containers, etc. All shapes and sizes accepted!

We had some great conversation on our Parent FB page regarding curriculum and instruction. You can find all required standards for each grade level and content area on the school district website. Follow the steps below to familiarize yourself with standards taught in MSBSD K-12 public schools:

Subway forms are due every Tuesday by 2:30pm!

REMINDER: If your student is absent the day Subway is delivered the sandwich will be kept in the office fridge for one day, then thrown away. You are welcome to swing by the school and pick it up.
