GENERAL INFORMATION & UPDATES

Fall Conferences

Fall Conferences are Wednesday, October 25 & Thursday, October 26 from 7:45 AM - 7:00 PM.


Fall Conference sign-ups will CLOSE on Monday, October 23 at 3:30 PM to allow teachers sufficient time to prepare for the conferences.


Spirit wear will also be available for purchase during conferences (cash or check).

Scholastic Book Fair

The library is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair October 23-26 in conjunction with Fall Conferences.


Students will have a chance to browse the book fair during a scheduled time with their ELA classes October 23-24 and may make purchases during that time.


All ETMS families are invited to visit the Book Fair 7:45 a.m. - 6:45 p.m. October 25-26 while Fall Conferences are in session.

Purchase A Boo Gram at Fall Conferences!

We have Boo Grams for sale during Fall Conferences! If you are not able to purchase a Boo Gram at Conferences, you may purchase one in the front office until October 24th. Boo Grams are $1 and it includes two snack size candies.

Proceeds help support the Life Skills classroom.

School Picture Retake Day!

If you missed school picture day or need a picture retake, Pearce Photography will be here on Thursday, November 2nd to take care of those picture needs.


If you still need to order pictures from the original school picture day. Orders may be placed online at www.pearcephoto.com

Future Bison!

Future Bison come join the fun!

ETMS Student Council is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat

for our Future Bison, along with other

elementary school friends.


When: Sunday, October 29th (1:30-3:00)

Where: ETMS parking lot


This is NOT a middle school event.

School Parking Lot & Crosswalk

For the safety of our students and staff we want to remind everyone that during arrival and dismissal, students must be dropped off and picked up in the car rider line.


Students will not be allowed to cross over the car rider line from or to the parking lot during school arrival and dismissal time, unless there's a pre-arranged medical need.

New Book of the Month - November

Our new book of the month will be, The Hunger Games. Students interested in reading the Book of the Month should stop by the library to sign up and check out a copy.


All who participate will be invited to the Discussion with Donuts (including a gluten free option) with Mrs. Brown, the school librarian, and any other staff who participate.


Discussion with Donuts will be held Wednesday, November 15th during TRAIL Time.

ETMS Art at the 2023 LSR-7 & Mid-Continent Library Art Show

Some of our ETMS students have been selected to have their art on display at the LSR7 Fall Art Show at Lee's Summit Mid-Continent Library. Please congratulate these students and consider attending the show during library hours.

6th Grade Social Studies

6th Grade social studies took our 50 states studying outside for relay races!!

6th Grade Grand Canyon Adventure has been canceled.

At this time the 6th grade trip to the Grand Canyon has been canceled due to low attendance.

STUDENT SUPPORT

Student Support is a top priority. LSR7 provides school-based services, such as counseling, conflict resolution, and crisis support through partnerships with Burrell Comprehensive Mental Heath, The Center for Conflict Resolution, and ReDiscover. These partnerships provide support for students and families during the school day.

MATH HOMEWORK HELP

6th, 7th, & 8th Grade students, do you need Math Homework Help? You are welcome to stay after school any Thursday until 4:15PM. Meet in Library Collab Lab.

ATHLETIC EVENTS - ETMS

Students must go home via their normal means of transportation after school and may return with a parent/guardian to attend an event.

Student spectators may not attend ETMS athletic events without an adult.

Bison Fan Days are the exception.
