Welcome back to our returning scouts and welcome to our new scouts that joined Troop 13354 for the 2013-14 School Year. Our first troop meeting was held Saturday, Nov. 16th at Peachtree Academy, and the event of the day . . . Girls drawing flowers of what they wish to plant in the new Girl Scout Troop Garden.

Don't forget to register your daughter, if not already done so!!!!

Cookie Season is fast approaching, so please remember to register your daughter on or by November 30th to ensure she is ready for Cookie Season. Girls must be registered to participate in the Cookies Program. If you have registered your daughter, please send the below information, so I can add her to the Cookie portal for tracking. Please include the below information when sending to me:
* Girl's Name
* GSUSA ID - This # will be assigned upon registration completion
* Girl's Grade

At next Leader's meeting, we may receive packets for cookie sells, so all girls participating in sales will need to be registered to ensure we receive correct number of packets.

Get excited for Cookie Time! Jump into the 2014 Girl Scout Cookie Program with a bang at the council wide Cookie Rally. Girls will learn how to rock their cookie business through fun game show activities geared toward ages K-5 and parents will learn how to support their girls every step of the way.

WeatherFest, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society, is a FREE family event that will feature more than 65 cool and interactive science exhibits with experiments, educational information, career guides, and much more from scientists and teachers from all over the nation. The mission of WeatherFest is to instill a love for math and science in children of all ages and to spark a young person’s interest in this area so they may consider a career in these and other science and engineering fields.

Plan to arrive early for the kick-off at 11:30 a.m.!

Daisy Brownie Overnight Adventure

Saturday, March 15th 2014 at 5pm to Sunday, March 16th 2014 at 4pm

cabins - Camp Timber Ridge

Looking for a pre-planned one night camping experience? This is the event for you. Girls will get to spend a full day at camp trying a variety of camp activities from canoe, crafts, nature, hiking, songs and games. On Saturday night, girls will get to participate in a talent show and enjoy a s'more. Fee includes 2 meals, lodging, activities. Deposit is $100 per troop. This event is open to troops

A Day with My Favorite Guy

Sunday, April 27th 2014 at 8:30am-5pm

Camp Timber Ridge

Girls invite your favorite guy to spend a day at camp with you (dad, brother, uncle, neighbor, step dad, grandfather, or whom ever)! Participants will get to make crafts, swim, canoe, hike, letterbox, sing karoke; and if in the 4th grade and up, climb the wall and shoot a bow and arrow. Included in your fee is lunch, a snack, all your activities, and great interactions with camp staff. Deposit is $50 and is open to all Girl scouts and their favorite guys. Please note that favorite guys must be 18 years of age or older.

Girl Scout Day at Zoo Atlanta

Tuesday, Nov. 19th, 9pm

Zoo Atlanta

Zoo Atlanta welcomes you with an admission discount and special activities, private animal encounters and extra fun during this Endangered Species Day extravaganza. Remember to bring your swaps! Each Girl Scout will receive a complimentary Zoo Atlanta patch while supplies last. Receive group admission prices when you pre-register with a group of 10 or more. Visit day of and scouts in uniform receive $5 off admission. Zoo Atlanta members are free.


Thank you to the parents in attendance at Saturday's meeting, and some AWESOME suggestion and ideas were provided.

I am asking all parents to send suggestions and ideas via email, so I can compile them into one email and send out to entire troop. Girls also had some great ideas for upcoming meetings and activities.
