This Week at Windsor...

#WEAREWINDSOR

May 13th, 2022

Windsor Families,

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! It was nice to have great weather this week. We are looking forward to the Special Olympics Track and Field meet on Sunday at Prospect High School. If you are around, feel free to stop by and cheer on our athletes!

On Thursday, our students lined the sidewalks of Windsor and Miner to salute the Rolling Thunder Veterans Parade. We also celebrated poetry with two more of our first-grade classes. Our Kindergarten students had the opportunity to practice eating lunch at school this week. Finally, we hope to see you at the Spring Fling this afternoon.

Be sure to register your child for school next year. Registration information was sent out from the District in an email.

Please continue to check out the Save the Date section below as we have many fun upcoming events!

Now, we want to hear directly from the students! If you had $1,000 to spend on your classroom or school, what would you buy?? The ideas that best reflect ABC/25's mission will be eligible to WIN A SCOOTER, generously donated by @givesback and Get Burbed. Fill out this form to enter: https://bit.ly/3ytc5Wj. Entries will be accepted through May 20 at 9:00pm. Winners will be announced during the last week of school.

Stella Station

The Noetic Learning Math Contest problem-solving contest is for elementary and middle school students. During the contest, students were given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems. Many problems are designed to challenge students and enrich their problem-solving experiences. Last month, almost 40 2nd-3rd grade students participated in the contest. The winners are

Grade 2 - Jack J from Mrs. Como’s class

Grade 3 - Will G from Mrs. Clark’s class

In addition, several of our Windsor students achieved National Honor Roll Status. These students scored in the top 10% of all the participants around the country at their grade level.

Congratulations to Jack J from second grade and Will G from third grade.

Finally, there are students who earned an Honorable Mention by scoring in the top 50% of all the participants around the country at their grade level.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest!
