The Mexican wolf is endangered because they started killing livestock and many people wanted to hunt them.
The Mexican wolf is also called a gray wolf.
They are about the size of a German Shepherd.

The Mexican wolf is the smallest gray wolf in North America. It can grow to be 31 in tall and 4.9 ft long. Weights About 60-82 lbs. It is a predator and eats deer and elk. They live in the Southwest. Their habitat is Mountains. They live as far north as Colorado. There are about only 340 Mexican Wolfs in the wild today.
