SUPERINTENDENT'S OFFICE
From the Desk of Dr. Laurie Heinz
Dear District 15 Parents/Guardians,
February was quite a month, but we made it! It is nice to begin to see the signs of spring in the air and a return to a more typical teaching and learning routine at our schools. It is wonderful to see.
It’s hard to believe it is already March - but I am hopeful that the new month will begin to bring with it some warmer weather. With warmer weather, schools begin to think about end of year activities. It is our hope to bring back some of our favorite activities such as Field Day, Book Fairs, various PTA events, and graduation to name just a few! It is fun to think about and I know it’ll be exciting for our students to be able to participate once again.
Your support, as we begin to return to more of a pre-COVID school experience, is very much appreciated. As always, I have shared some important updates and information below within the body of our monthly newsletter to our parent community.
Your partner in education,
Laurie Heinz, Superintendent
New Start and End Times
Thank you for your patience and flexibility over the first 8 days of our new school start and end time. Change is not easy, but we have already heard from our staff that they are seeing more students arrive at school on time, which was our ultimate goal.
We know we experienced some bumps, but we are working to iron out a few remaining glitches. Hang with us.
