REGISTRATION FOR 21-22 IS NOW OPEN!
Our registration is now open for next school year for new families to the district and next year’s 4K. You can find all necessary details on our website here. Please note that students already enrolled in our schools do not have to have a new registration complete. Please help us share that registration is open with any new families to the area or those with younger children that would be entering 4K or 5K! Thank you!
SNOW/COLD DAYS INFORMATION
As shared in last Friday’s District Newsletter here, Franklin Public Schools will treat Snow/Cold Days as “No School Days” this year. When a decision is made to cancel school due to inclement weather, we will work to notify families before 6am. The following are the ways we communicate the closing and where you can expect to see information:
Parents and Staff will be sent an email and phone call alert.
Students will be sent an email at their @franklinsabers.org account (4K, 5K, & up through 12th grade)
Closing information will be posted to our district and school webpages (in the “News” feeds).
Closing information will be posted to our district social media channels (be sure to like or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram if you don’t already!).
Closing information will be shared with local media so that our information is included in the weather updates that occur on local news.
Staff note: In some circumstances, there may be situations where district staff are required to or asked to report to the buildings and this would be communicated from a direct supervisor or through our internal email.
COMMUNITY ED & REC WINTER GUIDE
The Community Ed & Recreation Department Winter Guide is now online! Check out all the programming we are offering! Registration is now open. NEW ABSENCE REPORTING FORM
It is essential to note that student absences are now reported using THIS FORM. The Absence Reporting Form is also located as a button on the Pleasant View webpage and under the “Parents Information” section. This form will require you to enter your child’s six-digit student ID number and birthdate before you can report your child absent.
The Absence Reporting Form should be used to report ANY attendance change including late arrivals, early departures, and pre planned absences for both in-person and virtual students.
PLEASE WASH & ROTATE MASKS
Our students and staff are doing a great job wearing their masks each day! As we get into normal routines during the school year, one routine we would like to highly encourage is mask washing. We are seeing some students coming to school with masks that have not been washed in a few days. Please consider having your student rotate masks throughout the week and start each day with a clean, fresh mask. Mask effectiveness is best with a clean, dry mask each day.

LOST AND FOUND
CLICK HERE to see pictures of the items in our lost and found. This year we will be purging lost and found items more often so it’s important for children to keep close tabs on their belongings. It is also suggested that if possible, student items be labeled with the first and last name on it so that we can get it back to the student if it becomes lost.
