We had a rally last week to introduce our basketball teams. There was a challenge between the staff and the basketball players. Needless to say, the basketball players won--this time!!

5/6 and Jr. High Basketball

Our 5/6 and Jr. High Basketball teams will be playing Friday and Saturday (2/1 and 2/2) in the Quincy Classic Tournament.

Staff Feature

This week's staff feature is Mr. Dan Brown. Mr. Brown has been teaching at GJSHS for over 20 years. He teaches math, Industrial Arts, and Garden. Mr. Brown is also serving this year as our Athletic Director. As one of our CTE (Career Technical Education) teachers, Mr. Brown helps our students learn skills that will transfer directly into career opportunities. Our Industrial Arts class is in the process of building bunk beds for the PUSD Outdoor Science Program held in Taylorsville. The students have also assisted in various projects around the school. Our Garden class grows vegetables that are used by PUSD in our cafeterias as well as sold to the co-op in Quincy. Mr. Brown is also our Girls' Volleyball coach. The team has had several league championships under his direction. We are so thankful for all that Mr. Brown does for the students at GJSHS and IVES.

Send your Box Tops in with students or drop them by the IVES office. The money we receive from the Box Tops goes right back into the classrooms! Thank you for your assistance!

A Note from Our District Nurse

We Need Your Help

We receive Title I and other federal funding for our school based on the number of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Because of the grant PUSD received to have all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, many families have not completed the confidential income verification form. This can be done easily through your parent portal or we have forms available in each school office. We use these funds for extra interventions for our students, including a classroom paraprofessional who works directly with students. Thank you for completing the form to help us to secure the additional funding.

About Us

Indian Valley Elementary School and Greenville Junior/Senior High School are in beautiful western Plumas County. We serve the students of Indian Valley, which includes the communities of Greenville, Crescent Mills, Taylorsville, and Canyon Dam. We are essentially a K-12 school since we are located on one large campus where we share several facilities.
