Kindergarten Animal Research
First Grade Animal Research
2nd Grade Weather Research
First Grade:First grade just started animal research. Students used Pebble Go online to get ideas for what animals they would like to research. They brainstormed a list and then had to narrow time their topic to the one that peaked their curiosity the most. (RI.1.IA.1, RI.1.1, RI.1.2)
Second Grade: Second graders have just begun Wild Weather research. Students will be learning about different type of extreme weather. They will focus on what they are, what problems they can cause and how to stay safe. Students are learning the basics of research and note taking in this project. (RI.2.IA.1, RI.2.1)

March Madness Research
Third Grade: Third graders recently started at a unit on the book format of Graphic Novels. Students are learning about the format of graphic novels and how graphic novels can fit into any genre depending on the story. Fourth Grade: Fourth graders have kicked off their end of year research with a March Madness research project where the each focus on a different college or university. They are learning about basic note taking and have been transferring their information into a Google Slide they will eventually share with their classmates. Students are learning how to access learning materials through Google Classroom. (RI.4.IA.1, RI.4.1, RI.4.2)

6th Grade Comic Life
Sixth Grade: Sixth graders are using a program called Comic Life to create comics about a wide variety of topics. Students have been given a lot of choice during this project. They could create a Comic Life about themselves, a book they've read or a how to. We will be sharing these with each other using Kaizena and students will be able to comment on each other's work. (21.6–8.TL.1, 21.6–8.TL.2)
