National Honor Society induction ceremony will be Wednesday, May 26th at 6:00 PM. Immediately following is

Senior Honors Night at 7:00 PM. Both events will be in the Coldiron Fieldhouse.

For seniors interested in participating in Seniors Come Home, here is the detailed information from each school.

Senior Chromebooks must be turned in before graduation. Please do NOT turn it in until you are SURE you are done with your classwork. When you are sure you are done with it, turn it in WITH YOUR CHARGER any time during the following window:

May 17-26, 2021 from 7:30am-3:30pm

in the VHS Media Center. You must have the charger AND chromebook at the time of check in. If you have lost the charger, you will be billed $23

For seniors, Commencement rehearsal will be Friday, May 28th at Valley Stadium beginning at 10:00 AM.

Valley High School Commencement will be Sunday, May 30th at 12:00 PM at Valley Stadium.

As we are now in the final month, students should be checking with their teachers about any missing work or reassessments which need completed. We want to avoind having any incompletes at the end of the year. To better assure this happens....

Returning to a pre-COVID building practice, students have two weeks to communicate with their teachers if they need additional time to make up or reassess an assignment or test. We had an inordinate amount of incompletes at the end of first semester which we can't have at the end of second semester going into summer.

Despite vaccinations being more available, masks are still to be worn during school and when on district property. Masks are properly worn covering the nose and mouth.

Congratulations to Vocalese Jazz Choir for being selected for one of 6 Outstanding Ensemble awards (only two were high schools) at the Kansas City Jazz Festival last month. Sophomore Marisa Cravero was given an Outstanding Solo award.

Valley's Spring Musical Bright Star set the Valley Standard in Peforming Arts this year! At this year's Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards Showcase, the ensemble of Valley’s BRIGHT STAR: School Edition will perform an excerpt from their production for the Showcase, in celebration of the school's receipt of an Outstanding Musical Production Award - the program's highest honor.
