Picture Retakes Monday

School pictures went home last week. Students who would like a retake had forms available. Any student who did not get a photo the first round or who would like a retake will have that opportunity on Monday morning. Please contact the office if you would like your child to retake and you haven't seen a form.

Boys Basketball Tryouts

Any 6-8th grade boy interested in representing WMS on the court this season will have basketball tryouts on Monday and Tuesday of this week. In order to participate, students must have a 2.5 GPA and have fewer than two Office Discipline Referrals. We're looking forward to a great season!

Movie Field Trip Permission Slips

Next Tuesday, December 19th, we will be taking all of our students to see the movie "Wonder." The movie is about a student who has facial deformities and goes from homeschooling to a public school. The message is about overcoming obstacles, being kind, and appreciating everyone for who they are. After the movie, we will be doing some activities to promote kindness at WMS. The permission slips will be coming home this week and are due back by Friday. The link to the parent reviews is below:

The funds raised will go toward supporting student activities and provide resources for the Base Exchange (the PBIS point store). Students are encouraged to wear their ugly sweaters or holiday shirts on Tuesday.

Click on your child's grade and then select the subject to get to the specific information about your child's class information. If you have any questions about the information on the website, don't hesitate to email your child's teacher with questions or concerns. Study Cafe and Retakes

We will be offering Study Cafe after school again this year. We have divided the session into two parts: Retakes and Tutoring. If your child does not reach proficient on any part of an assessment, they can schedule a retake with their teacher. Their teacher will leave the assessment in a folder for the supervisors, and your child may stay after school to retake.

If your child needs additional support with any subject, they can stay after for tutoring. In order to schedule after school tutoring, students can sign up with Mr. Walls in Room 26A or parents can email Mr. Walls at dominic.walls@evsck12.com.

We are trying to keep the classes small, so students can get the help they need. If students do not sign up for the sessions or schedule an assessment with their teacher, they will not be able to stay. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns regarding help for your child.

After-School Programs
