Fourth Grade Concert
First Grade
First grade read all the Creepy books by author Aaron Reynolds during the week of Halloween. Using the Somebody Wanted But So Then strategy, they practiced retelling each of the stories. After reading all the stories, first graders compared the stories and made book to book connections.

PSAT 8/9 -- December 9
On Friday, December 9th, all 8th graders will be transported via bus to the high school to take the PSAT 8/9 test. The PSAT tests students in Reading, Mathematics, Writing & Language. This test is the first in a series of exams that prepare students for the SAT (which is a college-entrance exam). All students, regardless of their future plans, will take the SAT their junior year in high school as part of mandated state testing. The scores from this PSAT will be used as a baseline to identify areas of strengths and areas to improve as they move through high school. They are also one piece of information used to help identify students who may need extra academic help in high school.
Students must be at the middle school by 7:45am to report to their 1st hour classroom for attendance. Students will then leave the middle school at 7:50am and return at approximately 11:00am. The PSAT is a long test and we need to maximize the time we have on this shortened day. We hope you will encourage your student to do their very best on this test. Students should bring sharpened number 2 pencils (mechanical pencils are not allowed) and a calculator.
