What was the change?
The change was the scientific revolution, and from that came many more discoveries. The scientific revolution was a new of thinking about the natural world. During the renaissance explorers discovered people and animals unknown in Europe. The geocentric theory was when people thought that the earth was in the center and everything revolved around it and people believed in it because in Christianity they taught that God had deliberately placed the earth in the center.
Who were the people associated with the change?
Galileo
Galileo was an astronomer that had improved the telescope. The church didn't like they even threaten him so that he could agree that the ideas were fake/false. one of his ideas was the scientific method. the scientific method was a procedure for gathering and testing ideas. The scientist that contributed to the scientific method was Kepler, Copernicus and of coarse Galileo.
Kepler
Kepler had concluded that certain mathematical law govern planetary motion.
Copernicus
Copernicus was am astronomer that reasoned that other planets revolved around the sun. His work didn't publish quickly because most scholars and clergy would reject his theory cause it was against their religon.
How did the change impact society at the time?
Not many people believed in them because the church didn't want people against and questioning the church. And also because it affected many religions. And those who did believed in them never said anything because of the fear of being put out of their own home , hurt their family or even killed.
