County Central Hawk Talk
'Home of the Hawks'
Principal's Point
Dear parents and guardians,
I hope you and your families are staying healthy and safe. We successfully made it through the first month of school, and I could not be more proud of our students. They have demonstrated incredible resilience and adaptability in adjusting to the changes here at the school. I am incredibly grateful for the support our families have shown us as we’ve reopened the school and my staff and I are so pleased to have our students back! I appreciate your patience and understanding throughout the start-up process and encourage you to contact me at any time should you have feedback regarding COVID procedures. Below are just a few reminders for parents and guardians that will help keep the road forward as smooth as possible.
If your son or daughter is staying home due to COVID (i.e. self-isolating, showing symptoms, waiting for test results), we ask that you please let the office know. We are working to ensure that students who are at home can still access their class materials, and if parents inform the school that a student will be away for 10 or 14 days, our teachers can plan and prepare to provide support accordingly. Alberta Health Services recently updated its guidance on when to keep a student home, and I encourage you to check out their website for more details: AHS K-12 School Re-entry
I would also like to share a gentle reminder that visitors are not permitted to enter the building without an appointment, including parents. If you need to drop something off or pick a student up during the day, please call the office and we will assist you. You can also call to book a time to meet with an administrator, or you can email us at cchsadmin@pallisersd.ab.ca.
On behalf of our staff, I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
