  • Brian Zhang, Aquin Senior, has been named an award winner in the 49th Annual District High School Juried Art Exhibit at Highland Community College. This exhibit features high school artists from across northwest Illinois. The Gallery Opening Reception is on Thursday, April 11 from 4:30-6pm. with an award presentation at 5:30pm. The show runs from April 11-May 2.
  • Paityn London, Aquin 4th grader, has advanced to the Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Contest. She qualified for the State contest by winning the Regional Free Throw contest in Dixon on March 24. Paityn will be in the 9 year-old girls division at the State Contest this Saturday in Chatham. Good Luck, Paityn!

Baseball Update for Thursday

Due to a scheduling conflict, Aquin Varsity Baseball v. Forreston will start at 4:00, rather than 4:30. The game will be played at Krape Park as scheduled.

You Helped Build a Bench!

Now Help with Prayer Shawls!

The Aquin Seventh Grade Discovery Class is collecting yarn which will be made into prayer shawls or prayer pockets. It does not have to be new or full skeins. We appreciate all donations. Explorer Program for Firefighters and EMS

The Freeport Fire Department is holding a Fire/EMS Explorer Post program for youth ages 14-20. This program will provide youth the opportunity to learn about the Fire and EMS services through hands-on training while building character and leadership skills. The Explorer program is a Co-Ed branch of the Boy Scouts of America. Youth and parents are invited to learn more about this program at an open house that will be held on April 9th, 6 pm at the Freeport Central Station Training Room on Walnut Ave. Refreshments will be served.

Last Call--Haiti Birthing Kit Collections

Once again we are planning to send 20 birthing kits to Haiti. The items needed for the kits are listed below. We will put the kits together mid-April.
