CMS End of Year Items
May 2020
Personal Items Pick Up
Lockers/Athletic Lockers/ Medication
7th grade locker item pick-up will be Tuesday, May 19th.
8th grade locker item pick-up will be Wednesday, May 20th. ***8th Graders will also be picking up their Promotion Folders.
As you can imagine, emptying and bagging up items from 762 academic lockers and 500 athletic lockers is going to be a fun task. :) Parents and students are not allowed in the building, so we will be bagging up all of the items, labeling the bags, and taking them out to the front pick-up area in small groups based on a sign-up process.
Parents will drive up during their selected "time slot" and we will load the bags into the car. Please do not get out of the car. We will be limiting contact with students/parents. We can load items in the trunk if you prefer. Place items you want to drop off (library books, textbooks, etc), in the location you want us to place bags.
We have multiple times for each "hallway" of lockers, so you will have some options. For efficiency, it will be very important that you sign up for one of the times offered for your child's locker group and that you come during that time slot. (You can find the locker number in Skyward and will need to know it to sign up).
Athletic Lockers: We are coordinating with the coaches, so those students who have athletic lockers will be picking up items from both lockers at the same time.
Medication: There will be a place on the sign-up link for you to note if you have medications at school that you need to pick up. (The sign-up will NOT be viewable by other parents...you will only be able to see your own name and info, so it will be confidential).
Important:
1) Please pull all the way forward in the pick up line, AFTER your locker items are loaded in the car.
2)Nurse Bonczyk will have a form for you to sign stating that you received your child's medication. To prevent the sharing of germs during the COVID-19, please bring your own pen to use to sign out for your child's medication.
Laptops: Students will keep laptops. If they are not returning to CISD next year, you will be contacted to set up a time to return laptops after you complete the withdrawal form.
Textbooks/Library Books: If you have textbooks or library books, please bring them to the locker pick up. If you are not needing to pick up your child's locker items, but have books you may come at any of the assigned times to drop them off. Library/Textbooks in the student lockers will be returned to the library.
****Please make a sign with your child's first and last name in large, bold letters and place on the passenger side window.
Please use the form below to let us know if you will be picking up your child's items. Once you complete the form, you will receive an email to sign up for a time. Please do not forget this step!
