WSMS Principal Newsletter
October 26, 2022
This Red Ribbon Week has been a lot of fun! Monday we enjoyed Jersey Day, Tuesday was Western Day, today is Hawaiian shirt day, tomorrow is Band/Musician t shirt day, and Friday is spirit day. Your kids have really shown up and shown out on the spirit! Tomorrow (Thursday) will be Chick-Fil-A day here at Willow. Your student has to have money in their account to buy Chick-Fil-A, no charging will be allowed.
This Friday we will enjoy our first pep rally of the year. This will be a student only event due to fire code. We are looking forward to great participation from our students for this super fun event! Lastly, we are so proud of our theater arts students who are putting on shows of Willy Wonka on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Our students have really worked hard on this performance and they are all so excited for the show.
Please take a look at the rest of the information below for upcoming events at Willow Springs.

Lovejoy Letter Campaign
It’s that time of year again to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff with our Lovejoy Letter Writing Campaign! Many of you are familiar with this beloved tradition, but for those of you who are not, it is the time of year when current and past students and parents write appreciation letters for each of our teachers and staff members across the district.
The letters do not have to be elaborate or lengthy. The goal is just for people to write a note of thanks to show gratitude to their teachers, the staff and administration in our district. It is an opportunity for us to take the time to let each person who makes a difference for us throughout the school day know how much we value them.
Please clearly label the envelope with the staff/teacher’s name and LLC (Lovejoy Letter Campaign) and return the letter to the box located in the designated area at your school no later than Friday November 11th.
The letter writing campaign has become such a meaningful tradition in our district. We really appreciate your time and effort to help us tell our teachers and staff thank you for all that they do!
