The Inventors and the Background!
David Giuliani, Drs. David Engel, and Roy Martin are the inventors of the Sonic Toothbrush. They formed GEMTech to promote there ideas of using a rotating head toothbrush. They wanted to offer a high-quality, and well valued toothbrush that would be made in the U.S. The first Sonicare toothbrush was made in Seattle, Washington. It was first premiered at a periodontal convention in Florida. In 1995 GEMTech changed their name to Optiva Corpirations. In October of 2000 Philips Domestic Appliances and Personal Care combined with the Optiva Corpiration. Later on in that year Optiva Corpirations changed it's name to Philips Oral Heathcare, Inc. With Sonicare being the #1 selling rechargeable toothbrush in the U.S. by the end of 2001, their manufacturer Tess was on high demand. In 2003 Philips started a brand of different styled toothbrushes all based off of the original Sonicare toothbrush.
The Perks of a Sonicare Toothbrush!
The Sonicare toothbrush was invented to allow brushers to get there full two minutes of brushing, that is recommended by dentist around the world. The toothbrush has a timer that allows the toothbrush to cutoff after the two minute time period is over. The Sonicare toothbrush removes more plaque than a regular toothbrush, because of the rotating head that comes on the toothbrush. This toothbrush would work great for anyone who is looking forward to better dentist checkups, and a better looking smile.
