Weekly Update
First snow of the season! In order for students to participate in snow activities, they need to be wearing a jacket, snow-pants, boots, hats and gloves. Our students were definitely cold this week, but found ways to stay warm - hiding from the cold, huddling together or even running around to get warm!
Pre-K had a wonderful turnout for their Thanksgiving event! It's so wonderful to see our families here celebrating with our students and staff.
Report cards are coming home today! Our students have been working so hard this trimester. It's so hard to believe that we are already one third of the way done! How does time go so fast?
Thank you
Thankful
I am so thankful to be here in year two! I absolutely love working here and truly getting to know all of you this year. Please take the time to enjoy your family during next week's Thanksgiving Break. There is no school Wednesday-Friday. We will see all of the students back in school on November 28th!
Warm wishes,
Christy Brown

Santa Drive Through
2022 marks the 75th anniversary for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, which brings the magic of Christmas to over 281 million children of families in need.
This Saturday, November 19, our own Wonder Lake Santa will be riding through the neighborhoods of Wonder Lake on his Harley with his sleigh to take pictures with any interested children and collect new toy donations to be distributed to children of McHenry area families in need.
Santa will be riding thru WL neighborhoods between approximately noon and 1 pm this Saturday Nov 19. The route will begin on the east side of Wonder Lake from north to south, then back to the north and proceed to the west side on a similar route from north to south and circle back to north ultimately ending at the Wonder Lake fire station (on E Wonder Lake Road, just north of McCullom Lake Road) at approximately 1-1:15 pm for any pictures with Santa and his toy-filled sleigh.
The WL fire station is our local Marine Corps Toys for Tots collection site.
Thank you in advance for considering a new toy donation, which will be for local McHenry families in need. New toy donations should be unwrapped so that the distribution by gender and age can be made. When considering a donation, please try to avoid toys for boys 7-9 as over 40% of donations are for this group while this group represents only 12% of the need.
Ages 0-3 (boys and girls) and 10-12 (boys and girls) are the most underrepresented groups as FYI.
