What Are We Learning This Unit?
Islamic Studies
Shamail of the Prophet:
In this unit of inquiry the fourth grade students focused on learning more about the Prophet Muhammad's (peace and blessings be upon him) physical characteristics as well as other aspect of his personality.
OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of this unit was give the students a real affinity with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Conceptual connection:
Students also looked at other perspective people held about the prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) during his life time.
Poetry about the Prophet
As the students learned more and more about the characteristics of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) they worked on writing poetry about the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him). This was a very interesting project and it forced the students to think more abstractly about the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him).
