Summer Bridge Information

Big picture

Welcome Cohort 2!!!

We are really looking forward to having you on campus for Summer Bridge. This Early Edition will has lots of information and links that will be useful all week.


  • WHEN: June 5-8; 8:30-4:30 (ish) depending on bus routes/schedules
  • WHERE: ACC San Gabriel Campus (449 San Gabriel Campus Drive; Leander)
  • WHO: All incoming freshman and sophomore transfers


The overarching purposes of Bridge are to build relationships within the cohort, orient our scholars to ECHS and ACC programming, and begin the journey of being a college student by taking the TSI exam.

Transportation

Our LISD Transportation team has built routes to support our ECHS Summer Bridge. Please see this route schedule and and routes list to identify your stop and time of pickup/drop-off.

What to Bring

Summer Bridge is active! We suggest that you bring:
  1. Something to write on
  2. Something to write with
  3. Refillable water bottle (labeled with your name)
  4. Sunscreen
  5. Lunch (CNS will provide meals, but if you prefer to bring lunch, please do)


We also suggest that you wear a hat and comfortable clothes/shoes.

What to do when you arrive

Please go to the check in table. You will be given a purple lanyard and ID badge. You will be told your group number, the names of your Legacy Guides, and the group's morning meeting location. You will start each day with you Legacy Guides - they will explain the schedule of the day. Legacy guides will be easy to spot - they will all be wearing tie dye shirts!

Daily Schedule

Our four days together will be busy! We will be ready to welcome each day at 8:30 and our programming will start promptly at 9 each day. This daily schedule will give you an idea of what to expect.

Daily Themes

Your Legacy Guides (all students of the rising sophomore class!!!) have been hard at work for several weeks to plan Summer Bridge. Each day of Summer Bridge will have a theme - dress, play list, games. We hope you will join us! Daily prize for BEST COSTUME.

  • Monday: Go Griffins (wear purple & gold!)
  • Tuesday: 90s
  • Wednesday: Olympics
  • Thursday: Summer Camp

Meals

Leander ISD Child Nutritional Services will have breakfast (8:30AM) and lunch (12:00) each day. You are welcome to bring a lunch from home if you prefer.
