From Safe to Brave
Today and Tomorrow, 7:30 PM
Randall Theater
Sponsored by the "Lumina Fund for Racial Justice and Equity ( a project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors)", From Safe To Brave is culled from first person narratives and poetic ethnographies collected during the Interactive Community Conversations (ICC's) between September and November, 2018. Responding to questions about race in America, From Safe to Brave, (in Randall Theater April 23-4 at 7:30 pm) is an intergenerational tapestry of community voices that uses memory, narrative, song, poetry and dance to speak poignantly about the impact of race, racism and contemporary events in American culture.
Come out and become a part of the sights, sounds, songs, poetry and personal narratives of, both, young and old alike, as we examine one of the most difficult but important topics in America—conversations on Race—as we move From Safe to Brave.
Talk back and reception following each performance.
