COLT FAMILY NEWS
November 9, 2023
Dear Families,
Our elementary COLTS day was a success! Much fun was had throughout Potsdam! Our next COLTS day will be in winter, most likely February, when we can enjoy all that winter has to offer!
Please take some time to enjoy friends & family during the long weekend and remember our nation's veterans. See you all on Monday!

COSTUME CLOSET
Wondering what to do with costumes now that the big day is over? The Colts in Action PTO group will take them! They are hoping to build "closet of costumes" so that when Halloween 2024 rolls around, every little ghoul and goblin will have lots of options to choose from! Items can be dropped off at the main office. All sizes of gently used and new costumes accepted. They hope to have a lot of costumes available at the Fall Open House!
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Conferences will be held on November 20th and 21st. Individual conferences for any student in grades 7 - 12 will be scheduled by parent and teacher request. Please email hrousell@cpcs.us if you would like to schedule a conference. Elementary teachers will be scheduling a conference for every student in their class.
LOST AND FOUND
There will be a table set up during parent-teacher conferences with lost items. We are hoping their find their homes. If not claimed by the end of the day on Tuesday, left overs items will be washed and donated to the clothing exchange.
NOVEMBER FORUM
We are inviting veterans to our November Forum as guests of honor. If you are a veteran or know of a veteran, please let us know ASAP! Please email jmckinley@cpcs.us with details! The November Forum will start a bit later at 8:15AM so we can be sure to give our guests adequate time to arrive.
PICTURE RETAKE DAY
Retake day will be on Tuesday, November 28th. Foals are welcome to have their pictures taken as well!
OUTDOOR RECESS
We continue to go outside throughout the winter months. Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather every day!
WINTER GEAR
Please be sure to label your child's items with their initials especially winter gear, water bottles, and lunch boxes! We have a better chance of finding the right home for orphaned items. Your help is appreciated!
BOX TOPS
We have made $100 of our $500 goal! Help our school earn FREE money! Shop and then scan your receipts using the Box Tops app. Super easy! Use this code to connect to the CPCS account: KLFK717E
