Braille Boot Camp Series
Pat Van Geem will be joining us this fall in a deconstructed version of Braille Boot Camp.
We will have a series of four days spread out over fall and summer covering the technology skills needed to transcribe braille efficiently and accurately.
**This workshop series will not teach the Braille Code; Participants are expected to know braille before attending.
Session 1 : Literary Braille Production

When adapting materials for students with visual impairments, special consideration must be taken. Techniques for creating accessible literary materials will be explored in this hands-on workshop.
Session 2: Tactile Graphic Production

When adapting materials for students with visual impairments, special consideration must be taken. Participants will learn how to make computer-generated tactile graphics according to the BANA Tactile Graphic Standards in this hands on workshop.
Session 3: Braille and Nemeth Production

Unified English Braille Series
Webinars will be held from 2pm - 3pm. The face to face session will continue until 4pm allowing time to work individually and/or discuss changes as a group.
You may register for the webinar alone or for the face to face session held at ESC 11, but please do not register for both.
Each session from September to May will cover a unique topic.
