HELLO, NAU MAI, HAERE MAI...WELCOME TO WEEK 10
Welcome to the last week of Term 2. It has been a mighty term and so much has been achieved in and amongst all of our building work. These works are ongoing and we hope to now be completed at the end of Term 3. We thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to celebrating the reopening of this building.
MATARIKI - Thank you/Kia ora to all our amazing families/whanau who joined in this special season on Friday. This was our fist school wide celebration of Matariki and the feedback for our children and community has been great. We are always looking for ways to improve on things and we already have in mind more ideas from next year from you. Again our huge thanks to the many wonderful family/whanau helpers on the day.
THREE WAY CONFERENCES - Thank you for working in partnerhship with our school/kura. We had over 90% of our families/whanau attend our recent conferences, which is a wonderful reflection of the importance of working together for your child to be all that God intended them to be.
TWO WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY EARLY IN TERM 3
GRANDPARENTS MORNING - Circle Wednesday 28 July. We warmly invite all our grandparents and grandparent role models to school. We are celebrating the Feast of Joachim and Anne, grandparents to Jesus, with a celebration to our grandparents.
Outline for the day:
10 am - Mass in the church with our parishioners
11 am - Shared morning tea with our parishioners
11.30 - 1pm Time in the classroom with grandchildren
ZONES OF REGULATION MEETING/HUI - AUGUST 12th at 6pm
Next term we are introducing this programme to our school. We are hosting an evening with Eric and Irirangi from the Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) on THURSDAY AUGUST 12th at 6pm.
The Zones of Regulation is a framework that uses four colours–blue, green, yellow, and red–to help students identify their feelings and level of alertness.
The teachers have undertaken some training over a three week period and would like to share with you what they have learnt. We have already seen the difference it can make. Please circle this date in your calendar and come along. We will provide a light tea as well as a movie night for your children so you can attend. We look forward to seeing you all there.

PARTICIPATION is one way we can be all that God intended us to be. We are God's heart, voice, hands and feet. Mrs Moor shared the following powerpoint with us all on Monday.
