Bobcat Connection
Learning. Growing. Collaborating & Achieving @KrumHighSchool
December 4, 2019
Dear Bobcat Family:
We hope you enjoyed a happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed many good times with those most precious to you.
We are wrapping up the final week of instruction before EOC's and Benchmarks. In order to maximize learning, we have scheduled our EOC's and Benchmarks assessments to coincide. Thus, when we return in January, we will be able to analyze data, pin point needs, and create tutoring groups in preparation for the spring semester.
It is imperative that students get plenty of rest, and come to school ready to do their very best. We will be operating under modified bell schedules next week, and those details are listed later in this newsletter. During testing, there will be no bells in order to provide the best environment possible for our students. We ask for students who are not testing to utilize quiet voices during passing periods.
Thank you again for the support you have given to our students throughout the fall semester. Although we still have a couple of weeks ahead, we appreciate the overwhelming support you provide. Thank you for all that you do for our students.
Sincerely,
Michelle Pieniazek

In Job Interview, Caitlyn Muckensturm is the Area Job Interview Champion. In order to win this event, Caitlyn had to submit an application for employment, develop a resume, cover letter, job description, and follow-up letter. In addition, she had to complete both a phone interview; as well as a personal interview with a panel of judges.
The Krum FFA Agricultural Issues Forum Team researched a current issue facing modern agriculture and created a presentation defining the pros and cons of "Hemp: Miracle Crop or Hype". At the conclusion of the presentation, they answer questions from a panel of judges regarding their research. In addition to the qualifying contests, they have presented their presentation 18 times to such organizations as the Texas Department of Agriculture in Austin, TX, the United States Agricultural Sub Committee in Washington, DC, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in Austin,TX, The National Hemp Council in Virginia, and The Honorable State Representative Dr. Lynn Stuckey.
Best of luck to all these students as they represent Krum at state.
