Third Grade Good News
Tis the season for our third grade students to give back to our community. After writing 70 letters as a class to veterans, Mrs. Arnold’s third grade class received a unique letter in return. The veteran, Mr. Vance, not only thanked them for the letter, but also gave them a challenge to find a way to give to others. Students decided to donate food to a food bank. They set a goal to donate 300 items, but quickly exceeded that goal with 350 items. On Friday, students and parents took all the food to Harvester Christian Church food pantry. Mr. Vance was there to congratulate them and to donate money for the food bank to bless families with ham for Christmas. This was a very meaningful experience for students and they truly felt the joy in giving to others. Special thanks to our parents and students for coming together to support and connect with the community!
