A NOTE FROM DR. CHURCH
Dear Totem Falls Families,
The last transition of the year has passed with another successful entrance for students returning to in person learning. We now will conclude this unique school year in the remote and in person educational settings chosen. In speaking to many of you there is some degree of relief in simply having consistency for your child through June. Again, I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding. With vaccination rates climbing and the sun shining I am in an optimistic place when thinking about next year.
I wanted to share a couple of updates for this spring. First, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction shared today there will be no Smarter Balanced Testing this year. This is the annual test taken by students in grades 3-6 at Totem Falls. I appreciate this decision during the pandemic. It really makes a great deal of sense. I also wanted to share that Mrs. Beck has decided to retire and will not be returning to Totem Falls in the fall. We want to wish her well and thank her for her service to the Totem Falls community. Happy trails Cindy!
Tomorrow is distribution day for online learners.
Friday, April 16, from 1:00 - 2:30 pm
- If you can't make it at the above time, tables will be set out until 3:30 for self-serve as well as during school days between 9 and 3:30.
