Hit the Books Reading Program- January 11th-March 4th

The "Hit The Books" literacy program, presented by Nebraska Educational Savings Trust, has encouraged area elementary students that reading is an essential skill to have since 2007. Teachers at each school determine four different reading goals for the program. Students who "round the bases" receive four different prizes, including the grand prize of TWO tickets to a 2016 Storm Chasers game.

Subtracting Two Digit Numbers

We started our subtracting two digit numbers with regrouping unit, this is one of the hardest topics we have in second grade. We are going to go through these next lessons and test on Friday of this week.

Adjectives describe a person, place, animal, or thing. An adjective can tell how something looks, sounds, tastes, feels, or smells.

Social Studies- Landforms

We will be studying starting our landforms unit we will be studying the following landforms; hills, plains, mountain, valley, island, penninsula, river, lake, and gulf.

Homework

There will be math homework Tuesday. Be sure to practice phonics list nightly and share the joy of reading with your child by reading with them!
