In math, we continued our focus on decimal numbers. We spent the week learning different strategies to multiple decimals by whole numbers. The students learned how to use their place value understanding, area model, and the traditional algorithm to find the products.

A note from the PTO!
The Goodrich PTO supports the enrichment activities at the school and holds fundraisers to support events such as the Welcome Back to School Picnic, Fall and Spring Assemblies, School Dances, School Bus Transportation for Field Trips and the Class Parties. We are always looking for additional volunteers to help and always open to new ideas that will benefit the school and students.

A Peek into Next Week
Writing: Students will continue drafting their personal narrative. We will focus on elaborating on important parts of the story by adding dialogue, internal thinking, and sensory details. The students will also try out different styles of leads to determine the most effective for their story.
Reading: Next week we will continue our book clubs, focusing more on working together to grow and foster our ideas.

- This week we practiced our lockdown drill.
- Next week will be administering the BESS Survey to all kids. This survey is designed to quickly and efficiently assess behavioral and emotional risk and overall mental health status of children ages 3-18.
