The Madison-Mayodan Public Library collection has many resources to offer patrons, including: Adult fiction, westerns, romance, inspirational, non-fiction, biographies, foreign language fiction, picture books, easy readers, board books, juvenile fiction, children's non fiction, young adult fiction and non fiction, graphic novels, large print books in fiction and non-fiction, books on tape and cd, playaways, music cd's, tapes, DVD's, VHS, video games in Wii, Playstation, and XBOX formats, computer games, magazines, reference materials, digital e-books, genealogy resources, and so much more.

The internationally known Linda Vernon Genealogy Room offers Family Files, books on Rockingham and other North Carolina Counties, Virginia Counties, Other States, Journals, Microfilm and Fiche, Special Collections and Vertical Files.
