Tips for Creating an Engaging Poster
Content
- Remember - You do not need to duplicate the full text of the information
- Make it readable - use clear text and proper grammar
- Hit the high points! Simplify the information. You have 10 seconds to grab your audience's attention.
Aesthetics
- Use colors, photos, charts, graphs that support your information (don't use a image just to have an image!)
- Avoid ALL-CAPS
- Limit your use of colors to 2 (no more then three colors) for text elements
- Make sure it is well-organized - group items logically, visually
