JANUARY NEWSLETTER
Happy New Year to everyone! This month offers parent education opportunities on popular topics such as communication, guardianship, and behavior.
GUARDIANSHIP: This is an important topic for families with children with disabilities or learning challenges. Dohn Hoyle from the ARC of Michigan is leading a parent workshop in Flint on January 22nd in the evening on this topic. See the flyer in the "Upcoming Workshops" section for more information. This is an informative and enlightening session on a topic that impacts families and caregivers. If you are a parent/caregiver of a student on track for the post-high program, this is a workshop to consider attending for your planning needs.
(The ARC of Oakland County is now included in the Resources Section.)

Happy New Year Calendar: January 2020
The pursuit of happiness - a topic covered by books, movies, lectures, and self-proclaimed "experts". Perhaps, true happiness is cultivated from within ourselves. As a parent, caregiver, or staff serving individuals with disabilities this can be a challenge when most of the day is focused on the care and wellness of others. The calendar below offers ideas to facilitate happiness through your own actions.
