Attendance
Daily school attendance is important because students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend school consistently. It is difficult for the teacher and the class to build their skills and progress if a large number of students are frequently absent. Data from a California study found that children who were chronically absent in kindergarten and 1st grade were far less likely to read proficiently at the end of 3rd grade.
We recognize perfect attendance on a quarterly basis and hope to be able to recognize as many students as possible. Please have students to school on time so that they can get their day off to a good start. Try to make appointments for as late in the day as possible. Call and let the office know if your child is ill and will not be able to attend.
Students receiving perfect attendance for 2nd quarter were: Madelyn Anderson, Aaliyah Barker, Charleigh Bollinger, Caleb Byrd, Marlee Courtney, Kash Deshazer, Ashley Erickson, Lincoln Fleshman, Eleanor Gibson, Brantley Grah, Brooklyn Gutjahr, Skyler Harris, Kaelyn Holt, Austin Huston, Georgie Kauffman, Veronica Mead, Alexis Saldana, Colton Sanders, Aris Shreve, Taylor Ward and Cameron Wollberg.
